I need an easy to use free program to put text on photos.

I need to put the cemetery name on over a thousand tombstone photos, and before I'm done, thousands more will need it. All I need the program to do is put text on photos quickly and easily.
Anyone know one that does it super easy?

I've done essentially that with about 5 lines of Perl. Python and Ruby have similar capabilities.

As far as something premade, I can't think of one. Even GIMP you would have to script

Then I had to get a new hard drive, and due to new rules, I couldn't transfer my whole hard drive to the new one and could just transfer my personal files and had to leave my program files behind..problem was, it was a free program and when I downloaded the free one again, I had to take a newer one and it doesn't work as good...of course.
There are going to be a lot of people mad when they try to transfer their programs like Family Tree which puts the data right into the program and they have to leave it all on the old machine.
Now I'm looking for one that works easily cause I have so many to do.

photo. That's a must for me as well as ease of use..I'll have literally thousands of photos to do. The cem. we're getting photographed has over 38,000 burials in it.

Or big cemetery, at least. Good luck with it!

Try reposting in the photography group. Someone there will know of what you need.
