Would have been tougher in 2012 against Flake for the Senate due the overwhelming deep mean redness and overt racism in the more populated Maricopa County, at the time.

Easier for her to win re-election to the House in the south central part of the state that includes the more liberal Tucson.

Had she not been shot, she could have probably won the Senate in 2020 with a good margin of victory.
