Would actually get 2 representatives due to population....and the House would stay at 435, there would just be readjustments

Edit - so in your scenario the electoral college would only grow to 548

Electoral College 435 US House Members + 112 US Senators= 547 Electoral College Votes.

by the Reapportionment Act of 1929. There would be a temporary increase in the number of EC votes for 2024, 2028 and 2032 until the next redistricting, but the long-term effect is that only 10 Electoral College votes would be created (one for each of the senators of the five territories besides DC which already has been granted three EC votes).

At that point there will be 547 senators and representatives so the number to win the Electoral College will increase to 274 in elections after the redistricting.

But I think a majority in those states would, and that’s what we would be looking for.
