He lifted the death sentence of many Americans. When the pre-existing condition was lifted, the insurance companies could no longer deny coverage. Who among us does not have some sort of condition that would exempt us from health care. Dear lord, I read someplace, that battered women have a pre-existing condition!

I never had health insurance.. until I got medicare and it came at just the right time. I was fortunate that I never needed it and that I didn't have to deal with Insurance companies!
