Dumb Criminals: Lebowski Fest Founder Caught Smoking Weed In Bowling Alley

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The man behind Why Louisville, Lebowski Fest and Funtown Mountain has been arrested.

Will Russell, 39, was booked into Metro Corrections Saturday night on charges of possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and menacing.

According to the official arrest report, Russell was arrested at the Executive Strike and Spare Family Fun Center, located at 911 Phillips Lane, which is where this year's Lebowski Fest was taking place.

Authorities say police responded to the scene and found Russell "not acting normal," according to the official police report.

Police say Russell was found smoking marijuana in the parking lot of the center along with a co-defendant. Officials say a search revealed that Russell was in possession of additional marijuana.

What a dumb criminal, smoking pot and then bowling. I'm sure he doesn't have thousands of people who join him to do this across the country. If he did I'm sure we would have report after report of the dangers of all the dumb criminals gathering at the Lebowski fests each year.

Yeah the war on drugs needs to end yesterday, but that doesn't excuse the idiocy. Most of us who do or have smoked are smart enough to know to not do it in a place where police might be present.
