A committee at Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has reviewed more than 1,800 vanity plate requests in the last 10 years. The ones that get rejected often have objectionable language, sexual innuendo and more. Sometimes, harmless ones -- like G8R H8R -- don't make the cut either. they are objectionable. Like BIG TURD----personally, I would like to be warned that the driver of that car is a big turd. Or a BIG SOB. But I have to wonder how these people thought that they would get away with these.

Actually, I wondered about a lot of those plates at the link. What kind of person wants to announce that they are assholes or that they are looking to get laid...on their license plates!

BTW, almost 60 year old bachelorette here. Hook up???? I don't know what explains it for me, but I suspect it has to do with not tolerating dumb.

I was married for 25 years, after the divorce, which I started virtually broke except for the house which I still have (house instead of money), I managed to save quite a bit, adopt several dogs, take care of sick parents, date guys that did things I liked to do, and develope several strong friendships and basically have a pretty full life. You probably made a good choice there. But if you are interested, this guy is still available, ha ha . j/k
