How do we inform the moderators of people trolling this forum?

I tried the "Alert" button and was accused of abusing the "Alert" system. But I don't see any other button.

On Thu Apr 14, 2016, 02:34 PM you sent an alert on the following post:

All Hillary has ever done is pay lip service

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

JURY RESULTS

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's a claim; rebut it. mahatmakanejeeves
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: ALERT ABUSE. ABUSE OF THE JURY SYSTEM. ALERTING AND JURY PRIVILEGES SHOULD BE SUSPENDED.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Thank you.

Obviously got a bunch of Bernie bots with that Jury.

Just hit up the hosts via PM. They will ban the troll from the group.

When I saw the 7-0 verdict, I thought I must have done something really wrong. This explains why posts by Hillary supporters get hidden, while very similar posts by Bernie supporters stay.

You need to give a reason with good information so those on a jury read and make proper decisions. Don't worry about this, actually the group host normally ban the poster from posting in the group again, this one will probably get banned in the group.

I sent a message to one of the moderators, but I'm not sure if that moderator is working now. How does one notify all the moderators? Surely there is a way to do this?

Click on the button, scroll down. There is a list of the groups Hosts. PM one of them.

Scroll down further and there is a list of all "Banned" posters.

I have found our hosts are pretty quick to ban BS interlopers. But in the event they do miss one, PM'ing one of them is what I'd do.

The person you alerted on has been banned.

I did manage to find that page in the end and wrote to one of the names on the list but didn't receive a PM in response. Maybe someone did ban the person, though, since he hasn't been posting any more in this forum.

I hope my voting privileges haven't been taken away by someone alerting my alert.

There's no real point in arguing with people whose minds aren't open. I'm having a much better time here in HRC Group.

I mentioned previously, even a small one-time donation to DU can get you member status for a year, which increases your jury chance. I've done jury duty twice already, it's a very interesting experience.

My thought is that it's fine to let the troll army take over GDP for now. 1) GDP will go away after the primary, and I'm hopeful such behavior as has been allowed there will no longer be permitted on a GE page. 2) Their impact is nothing. They are here to rile us up, get us to respond negatively so that we're the ones violating TOS. The Ignore feature and the Trash button are our friends. Utilize them. 3) Most of them are only here until the Sanders marketing money dries up anyway. Only a small percentage of them could possibly be doing this much work for free.

We take our cues from our candidate, too, just like them. Except ours demonstrates how to stand tall, persevere, and brush off all the haters while we're doing it!

HRC 2016!

..only alert a few days ago because an obvious Bernie supporter had responded to a post I made in the Hillary Group. I was frustrated that the only option was that it was "rude, hurtful..." or whatever. It wasn't, just a picture of a Bernie crowd. In my comment I said that I thought the poster didn't realize that it was in the Hillary Group. I got turned down and one comment was that we could ban the poster.

Well, I don't think banning is appropriate. I'm pretty sure it was an accident. Easy to do when a post shows up in Latest or Greatest.

Why can't they have a button for "inappropriate post to a Group?"
