Geez, she and Bern, Johnny-come-at-the-last-minute Democrats are really feeling their oats. Yep, let's open the primaries to non-Democrats who recently elected a Republican judge.
"I guess what we've done is keep a very positive outlook and looking forward to changing the system," she added. "If he is the president and the head of the democratic party, we'll be changing the system to make it more Democratic."

So I guess this tax return BS is just that - BS. My guess is we'll see them in a few weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's the "brains" (taken loosely) behind this campaign.

They opportunistically and reluctantly joined a Party that they openly denigrated just months ago, and now they're going to remake it in their own image. To hell with anybody else's view.
Un-frigging-believable. Get out the stage hook. Their time is up.

(3,290 posts)I cannot stand Bernie the Magnificent One, his wife or (unfairly I know) if they have a dog, I probably can't the stand the damn dog either! What he has done to the Democratic party and the way he has handled his campaign is beyond disgusting to me. Any comments on his "supporters" is probably superfluous at this point as their rude and hateful behavior speaks for itself.
I have had it with disrespectful phonies and certainly hope at the end of this primary season we end up with an actual true Democrat for the nominee, that being Secretary Hillary Clinton.
livetohike
(22,147 posts)feels this way about both of them. I love dogs. Theirs, if they have one, is probably sick of them too.
Phony and scammers. Wouldn't doubt they are hiding much of the campaign money away for personal use.
There are going to be many disillusioned people here once the maid are ripped off these two.

What you have done is to attract a very large number of Independents and Libertarians who may at the last minute possible register as Democrat simply to vote for Bernie as a spoiler candidate in the primary, but who have no intention whatsoever of being Democrats and actually detest everything that the Democratic Party stands for. These are primarily "Bernie-or Busters."
I apologize in advance to those SBS supporters who are sincere supporters of Bernie rather than simply being Hillary haters as the "Bernie-or-Busters" are. There are also certainly many new voters who have been brought into the Dem party because they have been inspired by Bernie's words but who also understand the very dangerous threat posed by the GOP and will vote for the Dem candidate to thwart the GOP. There are also certainly Dem-leaning Independents who have also been inspired by those words - which very much needed to be said. I am very happy that Bernie's words are now part of the mainstream political discourse and have every reason to believe that Hillary is too.
But if you run as a candidate for a political party, you have to follow the rules of that party. Period.
The mere fact that you (Jane) believe that these rules should be changed now - when they never bothered you before Bernie's run for the WH as a latter-day Dem - indicates an incredible amount of self-entitlement and privilege on your part, as well as abysmal ignorance for why the rules exist in the first place.

Of, course, this resonates with independents, and those who failed to properly register.
These two have no problem with breaking the parties they 'profess' to belong to - which would make them liars, a trait I don't want in a president.

Historic NY
(37,451 posts)once you examine the "history of voting" in this state.
People complaining about party enrollment, should be reminded that Bernie Sanders announced May 26, 2015, in Burlington, Vermont, he was running. He previously made other announcements in April that appeared in the media. I guess its wasn't important enough to make sure you changed enrollment by Oct. 9. 2015.
Every County BoE is duty bound under NY Constitution to notify every registered voter of the time and places of all elections and the place where you vote. They are responsible for updating and maintaining the voter rolls, which are used in all school board, state, local, special district elections.

(2,348 posts)is running for President in a party you clearly don't believe in. What's been exposed as this campaign goes along is that Bernie considers the Democratic party every bit as wretched as the Republicans, which makes this charade of him being a Democrat until the convention a black stain on his supposed spotless record.
DemonGoddess
(4,640 posts)She needs to STFU and quit lying. DEMS need to close all primaries and caucuses. I'd prefer that we went to an all primary system, but still, CLOSE them. I actually think the same for the other side as well. Thing is, we are voting to select OUR party candidate. That means that the DEMOCRATS, not the Independents, Greens, or crossover Republicans should choose their candidate. Period.
