**looks under the Hillary bus**

Nope, no Jeff Merkley there.

Sanders finally got his first endorsement from a sitting Senator, thus refuting our "not a single Senator" talking point, and we haven't thrown him under the bus. To be honest, I hadn't heard of Merkley before this, but from a quick read I think he's a decent guy without qualification. I disagree with his endorsement, but that's democracy for you.

We're going to need a smaller bus.

And he was respectful towards HRC and her voters, which I appreciated. He was able to say why he endorsed BS w/o having to retort to any Hate towards HRC! That was refreshing! I have no problem with him endorsing BS. So not under the bus for me!

He spoke of uniting for the General!! SMART!

Madoff is a little too busy scrubbing pots in a federal prison to host a talk show.

He knows he needs to win re-election someday. Not exactly a brave choice on his part, but he's free to endorse who he wants.

I just happen to believe he did it more out of survival than anything else. A wave of leftwing primary attacks IS coming. They didn't learn anything from the Tea Party's failures.

"All of the top Democratic politicians in Washington have endorsed Clinton: Inslee, Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, as well as the six members of the Democratic congressional delegation. "As far as I know, no one has changed their support," said Jamal Raad, a party spokesperson."

That's all I got.

He can support whoever he wants. Just like me.

He has only been in office since 2009 and spent his political career in OR before that. That said, he was nothing but respectful towards Hillary and is a good guy generally.

Seeing reports of him being respectful of Hillary and her supporters unlike many of BS' endorsers.. he might actually be a perk in the transition to the GE.
