WEST BRANCH, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- Iowans get plenty of chances to see all the presidential candidates multiple times leading up to the Iowa Caucuses. After a while, those political appearances might start to all look the same, except for one happening in West Branch.
If political gatherings are defined by the power of a punchline, Clara Oleson's event breaks the mold.
"Quilting tradition has many aspects and one aspect is for an important event, you make a Quilt," said Oleson.
Most of the fingers working on the quilt will likely press a button in a voting machine for Democrats next Election Day, but for now, they push a needle through cloth, making a quilt with Hillary Clinton's logo on it.
When it's finished, supporters will sign their names on it.
"You have people saying, 'Here you go. I'm not going to be silent," said Oleson. "I'm not going to get up in the halls of Congress and give a speech, but I'm going to give you my name."
