and send out misleading information to the Clinton delegates. Alternates get the Clinton spots, Sanders cheats his way into more delegates.

Each candidates supporters split up. Then delegates are selected for the next level. Only those who were selected as delegates at the previous caucus are allowed to vote.

It seems this should prevent any shenanigans from happening.

on to their Rovian tricks!

I don't remember anything like this happening in 2008. In fact, I don't believe that I have EVER seen it happen in Dem primaries in my lifetime. These are, however, typical GOPer tricks, very much like those of Donald Segretti in the Nixon-McGovern election year.

IMO, there should be a rule that someone who has never been a Democratic party member cannot suddenly decide to run for President as a Dem. They must have been a party member for at least a specified amount of time. Moreover, caucuses should be abolished altogether and party primary elections should be closed.

Those who want to support third candidates should create their own party structure for those candidates and design their own rules, especially since they believe that Dem party rules should never apply to them if they don't win primaries and caucuses when Dems vote.

It was his biggest delegate haul. Nothing untoward about reminding delegates to turn up, but in typical Bernie style they mucked up the list.

The poster may have signed up as an alternate and could possibly replace another Sanders supporter who doesn't show up. The Hillary campaign should do the same thing with their delegates and alternates.

That's how we do it in Iowa. Alternates are always encouraged to attend in case they are needed.
