Hillary does not need a trip to the Vatican to validate herself. (HRC GROUP)

She has already done so in years of work for women's rights, children's rights, choice and contraception.

Her position on these issues is clear.

She does not care about the Pope or the Catholic church.

And many Catholics and ex-Catholics like myself applaud her for this.

I think she cares about the Pope for the good he's done especially compared to the last Pope but she certainly wouldn't agree with him on his stance on Gays and a Woman's choice.

She cares about everybody. Mahalo for your OP. Kath~

She is doing an excellent job right here.

As an ex-Catholic woman, I have a particular disrespect for anyone who panders to the Vatican.

Anyone can get a marriage annulment for the right amount of money. I didn't have it.

That's cool. That radicalized me, made me get into feminism and educate myself.

You radical you!

I can imagine.. I was taking "catechism" for a bit because I was engaged to an Italian boy from Detroit.. I dropped out, though.. it wasn't for me and we broke up.. for other reasons.

I still miss him, however.. so sweet!

Indeed it is, Cha.

Love is a wonderful thing.

Italian boy from Detroit probably still misses you, too.

Especially for the first woman president and someone so qualified and resolute in her beliefs.

It will be a beautiful day!

I got no problems with anyone going to the Vatican, but all he got was a T-shirt pretty much.
A note is nice, but not to have a face to face meeting with Francis and go all that way?????

Like the world has never heard of wealthy inequality before. Guess Francis better get on that now that Saint Sanders has shown him the way.

With no real focus on the ambush aspect of the meeting at all.

Jesus fucking Christ, the manipulation worked. Sanders gets away with bum-rushing the Pope in a hallway.
