Let's see if I have this right

While Hillary was researching the real needs of the poor in Harlem and raising funds in San Francisco so downticket Democrats can more effectively compete against Koch-funded Republicans and teabaggers, Bernie spent $600,000 of his fans' hard-earned money to stalk the Pope.

I have alerted posts on both sides of the primary where I felt the harm exceeded the benefit.
Yours did not cross that line.
But its painful to see the swipes and jabs at the 'other' when we should all be working toward a common goal of a better society.

Hillary Clinton.
Sanders spent $600 g working for his own optics.
Not one thing came out of that visit with the intent of benefitting others lives.
Except his own.

He should never speak again of Hillary's "obscene $600,000 speaking fees."

That would be a blatant hypocrisy.

You're in the wrong group to defend Sanders latest PR stunt.
Exactly what did Sandwrs $600,000 papal excursion do to benefit the people of, oh say, Harlem?
What was his 10 minute speech about?
What resounding enlightenment did he lay on the watching world?
That's right, We Will Never Know because it was a closed conference.
A visit with the Pope?
Nope! He stalked him & got a handshake as he was leaving.

No conversation, no talk of economic wisdom.

Tell me who this guilded trip benefitted again?
Bernie Sanders & his PR team, that's all.

This is a case of "All hat, no cattle".
Bernie Sanders blew through $600,000 for a PR campaign & he dare accuse of Hillary of her speaking fees.

Appears Sanders did the same.
$600,000 for a 10 minute speech.
Woopdee Doo bernie. Looks like he's finally part of the club.

Bernie is in it for himself.

Has not helped other Democrats get elected.

Has not started his "revolution" until 30 years into his political career.

Asks for donations for a campaign that won't win.

Look, he was is a decent Senator, but he has been no champion of Democrats or a moving force in politics. I didn't mind him until he started hurting our front runner, just like the Republicans do and the false pedestal his supporters currently put him on.

The donations people have given him just went towards a family trip and the money he spends is ridiculous attacking Hillary.

'Cuz Bernie should have learned to play the game and raised money for Dems so that they would feel gratitude for him, and then he could call in favors... Like the mafia.

Lots of Dem Superdelegates have pledged to HRC because they "owe" their careers to her or because they need to be re-elected... Hillary planted these seeds long ago, and not out of the kindness of her heart, and not because she really cares about her party, but to try to secure her own nomination.

The fact that no one owes/owns Bernie is a SELLING POINT!

We are a representative government.

Unfortunately, the Obama presidency and timing hit a nerve with a segment of our population (not his fault) that caused sweeping losses in our Congress.

The Clinton's are helping the Democrats take back the seats lost. We are not a dictatorship, we need real coordinated party support to progress. She planted the seeds long ago and that's how things change.

Hillary is ahead by 2.5 million or more votes and is winning the swing states. This is how progress occurs.

The fact that Bernie is accepting the party's money, using the party's data, and doing nothing to help the party is not a "selling point."

And you are in the Hillary Clinton group. Leave.

the wages of all the secret service detail we taxpayers funded on the trip which would include travel pay, overtime pay, lodging and food for the detail times how many agents?

See the problem there? Not only did his followers/supporters pay for part of that trip, even those who aren't in a position to donate had to help pay for that trip. And you know they were there when you watch any video of the Bern on his trip. Niceties aside, we all got burned on that little stunt.

Whoa. Even Pope Francis isn't feeling the bern!

LIE
"We had an opportunity to meet with him this morning," Sanders said. "It was a real honor for me, for my wife and I to spend some time with him. I think he is one of the extraordinary figures not only in the world today but in modern world history."

Sanders said he had the chance to tell the pope that "I was incredibly appreciative of the incredible role that he is playing in this planet in discussing issues about the need for an economy based on morality, not greed."

According to the senator, he got to meet with the pope and "spend some time with him".

Except here's what actually happened...according to Pope Francis:

TRUTH
"This morning when I left, Sen. Sanders was there. ... He knew I was leaving at that time and I had the kindness to greet him and his wife and another couple who were with them," the pope told reporters traveling back with him to the Vatican.

"When I came down, I greeted them, shook their hands and nothing more. This is good manners. It's called good manners and not getting mixed up in politics. If anyone thinks that greeting someone means getting involved in politics, they should see a psychiatrist," the pope said.

This sounds like more of an ambush, actually...or at best, a brief fanboy moment on the ropeline.

And it also sounds like the pope isn't too amused that a certain losing presidential campaign in America is desperately trying to use him as a pawn to gain a few votes.

Bernie blew an amount that's greater than Clinton spent on many of the Primaries for a lark that doesn't seem to be moving the needle in any positive direction.

Quite the opposite; one site I'm on, where the Pope is not popular, is seeing some Bernie defections today. Most are simply not going to vote in the NY/PA primaries.
