Hillary Clinton

With Hillary Clintons lead over Bernie Sanders in the democratic primary race now standing at millions of votes and hundreds of delegates (plus superdelegates), and his recent wins in small states not having cut into either number in any meaningful way, there are just a handful of remaining states that are large enough to impact the math. With New York and Pennsylvania leaning toward Hillary, its left Bernie clinging to the California primary on June 7th as his last best hope.
Lets set aside the fact that if Clinton wins New York and Pennsylvania and Maryland decisively, shell have already wrapped up the nomination and California will come too late to matter. Its delegates are awarded proportionally, meaning he would need to win far more than 100% of the vote in the state in order to pull back into contention. But even setting that aside, both candidates want to win California for the sake of appearances because its the final big dot on the primary map. And that means the latest developments in the polls there are meaningful.
Five different polling outlets have released California democratic primary results in the past month. They give Hillary Clinton a lead of between six and fourteen points, with her average lead being ten points. The most recent is a twelve point lead from CBS News, helping solidify the evidence that shes leading there. There are still six weeks before California votes, but these numbers confirm each other and make clear that Clinton currently leads the state.
So great.......Hillary 2016
