(9,148 posts)Great thing is if you really miss the GDP or "Bernie" posts you can always bring them back. Great DU tool.
But I doubt I'll ever miss them.
I can check GDP before I log in if I need to be reminded of how ugly & disrespectable those threads were.
I did notice the rec & reply count on the hate posts has tanked since being corralled into a particular Forum.
What used to be 100+ is now around 25.
Oh well, just glad as heck to have reasonable responders back in the front pages of DU.
Can't thank the Admin enough.
I can breath.
BTW Hillary raised over a million $$ at the Virginia Fundraiser, and that is what the Democratic Party does for each other.
Same way Emily's List does it. Fundraise to replace the GOP with powerful Democratic women in our law making body.
Democrats take care of each other & will campaign to replace the GOP with strong & loyal Dems.

2016
(and she's got some very long coattails to change the power structure of the Senate & perhaps a bit in the House.
Kudos to one amazing , bright woman & her masterful Team.)
It is America's good fortune to have such an accomplished wise leader, Sec of State & First Lady Hillary Clinton, step up to lead.

(297,274 posts)'Course repubs and others were trying to say she couldn't fill the 10,000 seat capacity when it was a Dinner and they made over $1 Million and they gave away some tickets! That's a good thing.
Carter said it sold "over 2,000 tickets and raised over $1 million." He attributed Republicans' negative comments about the event to concern over the party's fundraising prowess.
"It's no surprise that Republicans are terrified of Democrats' tremendous grassroots energy," Carter said. "Tonight is energizing Democrats from every corner of our commonwealth and we're ready to work hard to take back the Senate in 2015 and win the White House in 2016."

repubs and others don't know what they're talkin' about.

(9,148 posts)Her resume' is unlike any other & her Dem supporters are loyal & proud to stand beside her.
She has been a champion of Equal Rights across cultures, Nations, and from small towns to major cities across America.
She has well understood that Equal Rights are Human Rights her entire life. She will continue this legacy throughout her career as Madam President of the United States also.
She is wise and I cannot wait for Hillary Clinton to begin repairing the damage done by years of inequality laid upon the shoulders of humanity by an unthinking patriarchy.
I wish her well as this year unfolds.
Thanks Cha

(38,506 posts)I'll do that. Seriously, if I see a BS supporter write a post that does not degenerate into a snit about Hillary, I will go buy a lottery ticket.

(9,148 posts)What's the problem, I am not preventing anyone from posting whatever they want. But I also don't have to read it.
That's the beauty of the Trash/Ignore feature that the DU admins have offered its members.
And it works beautifully.
I can customize my DU page anyway I like.
And so can you.

(28 posts)I just close my eyes and plug my ears and scream "la, la, la" until all the bad thoughts go away.
Please tell me you're joking and in actuality possess the maturity beyond that of a 12 year old.
I wouldn't change that opinion no matter who someone was taking delight in ignoring - do you really think it's intelligent to not be equipped to debate something from all sides? To wall yourself off from an alternate view?
No better than the right wing conservatives who do the same thing.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
I am not 12. I am posting in the Hillary Forum. And I am not walling myself off from an alternate view. Nor am I unequipped to debate from all sides.
I prefer to also read the many other great news posts presented on DU & am thus very grateful for GD Primaries. That there is a forum for those who wish to engage in such banter.
And I have a DU right to Trash/Ignore what I wish without being called names, demeaned for doing so. This is the Hillary Forum afterall. We share much in this safe room.
Thanks

(9,148 posts)We missed so much news before GDP, & when I finally just began using the great Trash tool, I am spending way more time here.
DU is once again my go-to site.
Pretty cool. Wish I had used the tools DU provides, a long time ago.
