(10,237 posts)...albeit a non practicing Catholic, has lost so much respect for Sanders recently that I couldn't care less about ANYTHING he said or did.
In the HIGHLY unlikely event of his nomination, I WOULD vote for him. I would also sit through another election night like 1972 & 1984...Yuck!
PEACE!

(4,640 posts)I also think it's going to CONTINUE to hurt. I'm also non practicing these days, but still, I AM a Catholic. That he would grandstand the Pope the way he did, STILL makes my blood boil.

(5,049 posts)But the rediculous fairytale he concocted before and after the fact combined by the Pope's denial really made him look like a desperate fanboy. Not a good look.

(50,560 posts)I thought Bernie was just going to tear Jefferson County - where Fort Drum is - the fuck up. He does very well in Republican-heavy areas, and Jefferson County is so Republican you pretty much can't get a job in Jefferson County unless you're a party member. It's also very Catholic up there...LOTS of Italians in the area, and Italians are pretty much Catholic by default. If Jane and Bernie's Excellent Adventure was going to help him anywhere, it'd be here.
