My battle scars are nothing compared to Hillary Clintons.

She's been listening to it for 25 years.
She has the strength of a great leader & I admire her more every day.
Show me ONE man in this 2016 race who has ever had to walk with the strength & dignity Hillary Clinton has endured for 25 yrs. Lies & mockery is just so damn easy & acceptable when it comes from that good old boys club.

I will stand with this woman, a superior human being, as she continues the battle for equality for all.
She has walked that path of oppression & she damn well knows that if SHE doesn't carry the torch for humanity this time around, those who are also mocked, demeaned and refused basic human dignity,.will NEVER have a fair chance again.

She knows this because she lives it every day of her life.
She is a treasure & she is exactly what this world has needed for a very long time.

Equal Rights are Human Rights. And when that is made fair and funtioning, all else falls into place.

This is Hillary Clinton's Legacy.

Thanks for listening

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

"Burnie"s a flamimg turd." He just got a post hidden for the same over the top divisive flamebait insult of a Dem Prez candidate. There is just no need for such slaps in the face of DU, even in a special group. As Skinner wrote in ATA: "How about this: People on juries should vote to hide the divisive flamebaity crap. Get hard-assed. Stop cutting the jerks any slack." -Skinner, May 29

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jul 12, 2015, 02:11 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I vote to leave it alone since it's a reply to a Bernie supporter taking a dump in the Hillary group.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Quit alert stalking the HRC group. You obviously want to drive every Democrat off the site. Mind your own business and stay out of there.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Original poster should have avoided starting a flame war in a 'protected' group, IMO.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Get real.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Person invades HRC group to stir shit and is harassing members. They have all of DU except this one group to engage in their Hillary bashing. Poster is violating the SOP of this group and the very purpose of safe havens.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jul 12, 2015, 03:27 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I was prepared to hide this post until I read the post in response to it calling Bernie "a flaming turd." If that stands, so should this.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Not a Group-appropriate post at all -- you say this stuff in GD-P, no problem, but it's disrespectful here.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a job for the hosts, not a jury. Hosts can and should block this person from the Hillary group, but the post isn't breaking any DU TOS rules.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Normally an arguable point, but this is the HRC Group, a sort of sanctuary. Dump the comment and take it up elsewhere.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This poster has already posted one reply that violated the SOP of this group and unfortunately the reply was a leave. I hope that the jury will vote differently this time.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Hillary Clinton has a resume' no one running can ever come close to. She will make a great Madam President & the naysayers will do whatever they want to do.
The Presidency will be Hillary's & the current House & Senate imbalance will be changed in DEM favor & the Supreme Court will be restored one day for Equal Rights for all.

She will be the best leader America has seen in many years because..Human Rights are Equal Rights. And that's what will drive all policies she puts in place. Cannot go wrong with that basic principle.

When it comes from groups like the KKKristian RW, the Kochs (John Birchers of old), Rove, ALEC, Libertarian, etc, it is a mission based on one single directive. A no holds barred all out war to keep the DEMS & Hillary Clinton from grabbing the holy grail..the trifecta, from them.
The Presidency, the House & Senate and sweetest of all, the future Supreme Court.

The stakes are high & hope she is surrounded by the strongest, bravest & most loyal protectors in the year ahead.

I also have no doubt she will be our Primary winner.

Along with a slew of endorsements that also believe as Hillary does
Equal Rights, human rights, LGBT rights, Latino, Black & minority rights. The right to choose, the right to privacy of a person's medical care, the right to believe without the interference from religious infringement in our lawmaking body.
The right of citizens to be educated well, fed well, and be housed with dignity, earn a sustainable living, be freed from our current financial organized stranglehold and corporate privatization that denies Equal & Human Rights to any citizen.

Any policy based on this belief will create a productive & functioning society for our America.
Hillary's leadership mantra says, "It's Equality, Stupid"
Its that simple.

Enjoy your day George II.

Sun Jul 12, 2015, 03:11 PM
Jul 2015

I saw this thread last night but was too sleepy to reply and almost didn't find it today. But I want you to know that what you say has some truth to it, even for me. I can understand how you feel, up to a point. When Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992, I danced all night with a crowd of happy revelers and burst into tears when they played "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow." After the hideousness of 8 years of what may have been irreparable damage inflicted upon our nation by that phony actor Ronald Reagan, and after 4 years of the seemingly nice but actually cynical Poppy Bush, it felt like the sun was finally shining on our fair land when we had a Democrat in the White House again.

Despite Bill Clinton's questionable moves (WTO, NAFTA, 1996 Telecom Act, repeal of Glass-Steagall, harsh welfare reform), I supported him throughout the 90s. A large part of my support was a reaction to the attacks by what Hillary correctly termed the "vast rightwing conspiracy." I spent the 90s (and ever since) enraged by what they were/are doing. The newly developed Worldwide Web connected me with fellow angry Dems who were finally opening up about our shock and anger at Republican viciousness. I burned at that putrid sh!t Kenneth Starr's impeachment website and a little later, my online cohorts and I read Joe Conason's The Hunting of the President and exploded at what the Supreme Court did to our country on December 12, 2000.

But nothing made me angrier at Republicans than what they did to Hillary Clinton. I couldn't believe it when, early in Bill's presidency, some southern state repubs hung her in effigy. They seemed to hate her even more than Bill -- and she was only the First Lady. I read faces fairly well and could see how shocked she was and how frightened inside, even while putting on a very brave front, which I think she has done ever since. So I do feel for her.

But then her image began to crack. It happened in bits and pieces and wasn't an orderly process in my mind. One of the early fissures was when she decided, seemingly out of the blue, to run for the Senate from New York state. New York? Neither of them had ever been New Yorkers. This bit of carpet bagging was jarring. Then she voted for Dubya's war. What? Who is this woman? Then I read somewhere that Bill really missed the White House, and fairly quickly it became apparent that Senatorial ambitions were merely a stepping stone to regaining the White House -- and the pro war vote was mere ash-covering, keeping her record strong for her true ambition. Most people run for president after having run and served in the interest of their actual beliefs. Never has she expressed strong belief in any cause beyond women and children. Concern for the bread and butter lives of average Americans seems foreign to her. Then I caught some TV footage of Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea moving very slowly and deliberately through a crowd of people, walking in a sort of slow syncopated march with their chins up, eyes half-lidded, very serene, very above it all, and I realized that they saw themselves as royalty -- above and beyond the mere groundlings, those ordinary, plebeian Americans. I guess they think they're the new Royal Family. That's a whole lotta ego. And not much heart.

Then came the 2008 campaign. That was when Hillary finally blew it for me. She conducted herself without a shred of ethics. It became obvious that she would do and say anything, without any filter from a conscience, to get what she wanted. There were the lies, but what finally blew my stack was when she was asked if Barack Obama was a Muslim, and she replied with something like, "Well, he says he isn't, so, I don't know, probably not..." My jaw dropped, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Then I admitted to myself what I'd been avoiding for years: Hillary Clinton has no conscience left in her soul. After that, news of the secrecy, the distrust, the punishment of any apparent disloyalty, didn't surprise me. And her recent behavior -- refusing to address Americans as if they mattered, putting emphasis on getting rich, hiding her views from the public, etc. Gross. And Chelsea's first job out of Stanford was with a hedge fund? Really? And then she married a hedge fund manager? Really? It just gets uglier and uglier.

When Elizabeth Warren came along pressing for a fairer, more equitable economy, I couldn't believe our collective good luck. When she didn't want to run (perhaps fearing Clinton retribution?), I had hopes for Martin O'Malley, whom I still like. As a long time fan of Thom Hartmann, I've loved Congressman, then Senator, Sanders forever, so when HE decided to run, that was it, for me. No he's not a Dem, but he's a better Dem than Hillary will ever be. Democrat is more than a party; it's a state of mind.

What do I think happened? Unless she was this way from the start and I missed it, I think the rightwing abuse hardened her to what she is now. If she ever had ideals, I think they're gone. I believe that all she cares about is herself and her family (possibly just her daughter). Period. I would not trust the American people's fate to her. But if it ends up either her or a Republican, then I will, with great regret, vote for her. And you will be jubilant that "she" got what "she" wanted. For herself.

It has been her life's work and I cannot wait to watch Hillary Clinton lead this Nation as our President.
When her basic belief that drives all her policies starts with Equal & Human Rights, then America will be a productive & functioning society.
I really like how Team Hillary is managing this campaign. It is methodical, smart & Her message isn't the usual fist pounding pandering, but an actual well developed plan that takes America out of the hands of the exclusive good old boys club and gives it back to its people. A functioning society.

She will be the best leader for our broken Nation and what her message tells us, is that she will bring reason & thoughtful inclusion of all. Her policies will be set to provide a balanced governance for all, a direction we have not seen for many years.

Thank You Hillary Clinton for taking on this massive task of unraveling the current lopsided & broken system.
This is brilliant and refreshing to see as Hillary Clinton moves with class & grace in achieving her lifetime goal for our country. Equality for all & Dignity for all, and has a plan in place to get us there.
What a great Legacy.

You Go Hillary Girl!

When I think of these and dozens of other things, like privatizing our natl park system.

And i watch someone call Bernie a turd or someone else refusing to acknowledge the many good positions Hillary takes, it really pisses me off.

Because what I see is if we have a brutal enough primary process, there will be harm done that will carry over.

Which is why I would like to see the supporters of each candidate follow the lead of their candidate.

Let that take you where it will, each has positives and negatives in how they are handling their campaigns but neither are as brutal as some here.
