It's an online microcosm of what's happened in various primaries. Sanders can only win in open primaries (where the demos also favor him) where bunches of Rethugs and Rethug-leaning "independents" skip voting on the R side and instead vote against Hillary.

So I wouldn't lose faith in DU just yet. All of this trash should be swept up soon enough.

I want to say that I came to this conclusion a couple of months ago. I am a life long Democrat and I have never voted for a Republican, nor have I never not voted for the Democratic candidate for President.
