Bernie has let all the rallies and hoopla go to his head. He is also surrounded by people who feed his ego trip.
When I look at both Trump and Bernie, I see the commonality of giant egos. One blathers on about walls and immigrants and the other about income inequality. Sadly neither can tell you HOW he plans on making his plans come true. Trump is definitely far worse on every level, but both are presenting fantasies to the voters, and neither is held accountable for their policy proclamations.
