MSN is on a Hillary bash this am...they are trying to manufacture a controversy...

Steve Kornaki took up yesterday's "criticism" of Hillary requiring everyone to be screened at the Iowa speeches, to this am showing a clip of everyone cheering and then spending 5 minutes with an undocumented report that "Hillary's people" didn't want supporters outside the speeches to talk to reporters.

Exactly what was said or who said it is not mentioned, but the entire panel editorialized about how candidates should run their campaign and how cool it was that Bernie was exciting even though he didn't have a chance to win. Kornaki mentioned that Hillary and Bernie did not critic each other, and that Hillary had a large group outside the arena. He said several times that Bernie could not win.

No mention of the substance of the speeches.

CSPAN had a startup where a lot of Hillary callers were pretty good. They mentioned Hillary's experience, appeal to a broader America, path to citizenship, and intelligence. A few Bernie callers got in with the "economic revolution" meme. One or two Martin callers liked his speech in Iowa.

And it has nothing to do with the Hillary bashing. That seems to be par for the course with MSNBC these days. But when he has a representative from the EVIL Heartland Institute on his panel not only to bash Hillary, but to front as someone with any cred to tell young progressives what to think....then I'm done with you. Done. May as well have a Koch brother sitting right there next to you eating your donuts. If Hillary hate is causing you to LITERALLY sit down with the devil, then you my friend are the enemy of the people, not Hillary Clinton.

I used to like Alex Wagner. Can't stand her anymore. She pushes gossip and conflict.

....and interrupt if the guest isn't going in her direction.

Now just about the only ones I can stomach on that channel are Thomas Roberts (he sticks pretty much to reporting news), Andrea Mitchell, Chris Mathews, and Melissa Harris-Perry on Sunday mornings. Some of the fill-ins for missing hosts are good too.

They hired him because Lawrence O'Donnell insisted on it because he thought Christie would be the Republican nominee. MSNBC wrong again.

...to get his "reputation". He came out of nowhere during the initial Christie bridge scandal, but he essentially used Shawn Broburg's GOOD reporting for the Record and extrapolated on that to become the NJ political "expert".

With all that ridiculous hand waving and gesturing, cutely rolled up sleeves and ruffled hair, I can't stomach him anymore.

Edit - interesting - I see the poster above me used the word "hack" too!!!!!

i watch ed cuz he is no tpp/no keystone xl
roberts is straight up news and very good
i can take rachel in small doses

that is pretty much it

hope its ok that i jumped into the group for this post. i have seen the deterioration of msn for a while and this caught my eye
