Just got back phone banking and canvassing for Hillary in Northern California, and at least

regarding the people I met and spoke with, most of them were enthusiastically voting for Hillary

The impression one may get from the many OPs on DU is that Hillary does not have that much support, but I can tell you from what I have seen that is a complete misrepresentation of the facts, and the support I experienced was among all demographics

that sanders does better against trump than Hillary against trump are skewed, because many of those sanders supporters will not select Hillary when it is between Hillary and trump, which misrepresents reality.

Most important though is National polls do not determine the GE, states do

When it comes to actually voting, many of the Sanders supporters haven't even voted for Sanders in the primaries. Turnout at paid rallies has been huge. Turnout at the polls has been weak.

If you were supporting a back bench senator from a state that hasn't expected results from him in decades, you too would have to appropriate achievements to make him look like something more than a self-righteous speech giver. Hillary supporters can show and point to actual achievements when arguing that she should be president.

... That in the assorted corners of the Internet as well as in the real world that many people will declare that they don't know anyone who supports Hillary.

And then I will reply that "I do."

Afterward, more people chime in, saying that they do as well.

With the anger directed toward our candidate and the years of the RW smears - and the vitriolic behavior of those who think we are wrong - it can make it difficult to stand up and say "I'm with her." But when the first one stands up and says it, more voices soon join in.

It's hard to think you might be the lone target in a room, but when you realize you are not alone it becomes easier to find your voice.

That's been my experience, at least.

We don't threaten Super Delegates. We don't threaten party chairpersons. We don't form gauntlets of hate at our opponent's events. We just vote.
