Related: About this forumConspiracy theories about the exit polls being cancelled
The same people who decry the media (correctly) as a bunch of right-wing hacks who only care about the bottom line seem to have decided that the networks' decision to cancel the remaining exit polls is a nefarious conspiracy involving the Clinton campaign. There are a dozen (or more) similar threads in GDP.
Now, if we look at this logically, we might conclude that:
1) The race is over.
2) The media saves money by cancelling them, aka the bottom line.
3) Both of the above.
Ah, but no. It's all a massive conspiracy with the Clinton campaign pulling the strings.
The strings of the right-wing media.
The same right-wing media that has been hammering her for 25 years.
That she now controls. Somehow.
Yeah, that's *waaaaaay* more plausible than a few corporations saving some money in a race that it over.

(28,270 posts)No need for exit polls in that case.

(11,619 posts)Up to this time, I have only seen reports from blogs and other sites that have no credibility as news outlets.
Show me a statement from CNN, MSNBC, FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC that they have canceled exit polling

(25,472 posts)But you're right. They're mostly based off some blogs and I haven't yet found anything official from any of the networks.
Good call. It remains to be seen if the story will turn out to be false.
