Last edited Mon May 23, 2016, 06:36 AM - Edit history (1)

Few news outlets are reporting this yet, but here ya go:

DNC superdelegate Zack Hawkins endorses Hillary Clinton: “I’m with her”

Hillary Clinton can add one more delegate to her haul, putting her that much closer to her inevitable clinching of the 2016 Democratic Party nomination. Zack Hawkins, the 1st Vice Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, confirmed last night that he’ll be casting his superdelegate vote for Clinton. He was asked “Can we get an affirmative HRC pledge from you today,” and his response was “You can. I’m with her.”

DNC superdelegate Zack Hawkins endorses Hillary Clinton: “I’m with her”

Delegate counts are estimated, and different news outlets report slightly different totals. CNN reported that Hillary Clinton started the day with a total of 2297 delegates, meaning she needed another 86 delegates in order to clinch the nomination. The confirmation of the Zack Hawkins superdelegate endorsement means that she now needs just 85 delegates to clinch.

She’ll pick up perhaps four delegates in the Virgin Islands on June 4th, and current polling suggests she’ll pick up 38 delegates in Puerto Rico on June 5th. So if she gains the endorsement of another 43 superdelegates between now and then, her expected win in Puerto Rico could put her over the top. Failing that, she’ll pick up enough proportional pledged delegates from New Jersey on June 7th (win or lose) to clinch the nomination before the polls close in California later that night.

She's got this, she will have over half of the pledged delegates, she only needed 250, by only splitting the primaries, before California is over there will be a need for over 100% of the delegates needed by Sanders.

He will need to negotiate with Hillary to help him raise money to cancel his campaign debts, his demands for his other issues will be secondary.

I am looking forward to more votes and delegates for Hillary.

His plan is to flip Hillary's supers. You can't flip them from Hillary to Sanders unless they're first committed to Hillary.

So you see, this is all going according to Sanders' math on how to win the nomination.

Sometimes when I am at a meeting in a restaurant I ask for Coke. Then they usually ask if Pepsi is okay. Then I might reply "Is Monopoly money okay?"
