Finally, a poster linked to the list from CNN and I thanked them for using a legitimate source. My beef wasn't the list, it was the source, the framing of the list, and leaving off the part that those fees went to the Clinton Foundation (a legitimate public charity) and not the Clinton's pockets. Sources matter.

Some posters with 100-150k posts have been posting the same anti-Democrat nonsense about as long as DU has existed. I left for eight years and recently returned, and a few of the most obvious are still here, still posting the same tripe.

It's arguably worse now though, in part because their candidate is only a Democrat of convenience and so many of them - as logic would indicate - are as well, if they're Democrats at all.

Even *before* the "new and improved" jury system is introduced, this could be addressed. People take advantage when you let them. People abuse the system, when they're allowed so to do.

As for the current one, I think the admins significantly overestimated the ability of DUers to be impartial, especially in large numbers.

Based on how this place has devolved in prior primaries, this really shouldn't have been a surprise. Anti-Democrat sentiment has always been popular here. Add in a Democrat-for-convenience candidate and some of his "we're the most independent independents to ever independent" supporters and this huge anti-Dem surge and the resultant mob rule should probably have been seen from miles away.

That being said, there's hindsight and all that.
