By all major media outlets...demand full disclosure of his socialist past...all the people he pal around with, public investigation into Jane sanders....investigation into sanders nepotism....investigations into the people and groups who have supported him in the past...can you imagine how Bernie and his people would react?

(1,446 posts)particularly for healthcare and free public tuition. Once taxpayers saw how much those programs would cost them, it would have made a huge difference. Even more if she had pushed for a timeline. That was something she could have done without it looking at all 'personal', the way the GOP would have attacked him if the had ever been the Democratic frontrunner.

(25,472 posts)I think she knew what she was doing. In the meantime, she's saved some money and is preparing for the GE. I think she didn't go fully negative because she knew that she didn't really need to.
Her campaign also may not have expected Sanders to go full-conspiracy theorist quite this quickly. Not sure there's really much they can do about it other than refute the nonsense and wait for it to bern out. Either way, it's over in a couple weeks and she can move on.

(25,472 posts)Both as a party and Hillary as a candidate. A little more aggressive strategy might have precluded that, but it's hard to tell in hindsight.
