Survey USA Poll (5/23): Hillary Poised To Defeat Sanders In CA 57-39

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Hillary Clinton is well positioned to defeat Bernie Sanders in California's presidential primary, according to an exclusive Eyewitness News poll conducted by SurveyUSA.

The poll results, released on Monday, showed that Clinton would defeat Sanders 57 percent to 39 percent. The results of the poll showed that Sanders continues to lead among the youngest voters, while Clinton leads by 12 points among voters age 35 to 49.

The latest poll results indicate that Clinton carries California 52 percent to Trump's 38 percent.

To date, Clinton leads Trump by 14 points. In comparison, Barack Obama carried California by 24 points in 2008 and by 23 points in 2012. For Trump, the survey shows a gender gap. The business mogul is losing California by 3 points among men and 25 points among women.

Another notable figure in the survey results involves Clinton's negatives. Among Democrats who told SurveyUSA they are paying "a lot" of attention to the 2016 election, Clinton defeats Trump in California by 9 points, 50 percent to 41 percent. Trump's negatives have remained constant over the past three polls conducted in California by SurveyUSA, whereas Clinton's negatives have increased over the same period.

with around 2100~2200 pledged delegates. Sanders' landslide chances that never existed are pretty much dead again.

the debt looming from his campaign. Hell, I wonder if he even has $5.8-million in the bank when you figure in the illegal donations he has yet to refund.

I want a landslide for Hillary.
Bernie has played a role, but enough is enough. His recent negativity against Hillary, at this point in the election, is inexcusable.

demographics that favor Sanders. We have a large Hispanic population who will vote for Hillary and also plenty of African American voters who are definitely NOT feeling the bern. Does Bernie think African American voters were impressed with his efforts to recruit a Democrat to run against President Obama in 2012? There will be many REAL Democrats coming out on June 7 to vote for a Dem to fill Barbara Boxer's Senate seat. (She is retiring.) We are a blue state with a Democratic majority state legislature and a very liberal Democratic governor who has endorsed Hillary. Our economy has bounced back nicely since the great Bush/ recession of 2007. This is Hillary country. The Sanders campaign is suiing the state to allow same-day registration (although they will not succeed in doing so).It would not surprise me if they are doing this because they know that they cannot win without Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents re-registering as Democrats and voting for Sanders in order to make trouble for Hillary. After all, no need to vote for Trump...He already has the nomination.Bernie has run low on money right before the primary in a huge state with a huge population. (HA...Good luck with that , Bernie.) I hear he is having a rally at a high school today. Hmmmm. Not gonna need thousands and thousands of people to fill up a high school venue. HILLARY 2016!

We love her! yeah yeah yeah! (That's for my fellow Beatlemaniac, Iamaartist)

And good point about the senate election bringing out an extra contingent of Dem primary voters. (I'm really going to miss Barbara Boxer, by the way. : ( )
