Turns out GDP has been way worse
Looks like the time has come to bunker down in here until June 7th gets here.
I just want to reiterate that I'm a working class millennial (26) and I'm with her 100%. Her goals are achievable and realistic and she's the most qualified person running for POTUS.
Stay strong fam

(135,425 posts)Yes, it's no fun at DU these days. It will get better.
After the primaries end, the admins say they're going back to rules and regs. It was like that in the old days, before the juries and the "hosts" and so forth.
The people who can't support HRC can head over to Discussionist--it's a free for all over there, but there are enough of them that they can form a pack and engage in verbal jousting, if that's their thing.

(92,201 posts)the threads in GDP are an excuse to bash Hillary, not to discuss issues or ways to address problems. Instead many serve as distortions, and outright falsehoods about Hillary, with the view that it will cause overwhelming support for Bernie, or with the intent to illicit and anger response from those supporting Hillary.
What I do to avoid the negativity is phone banking and canvassing for Hillary.
Hang in there, and welcome to the Hillary group

(1,630 posts)I cannot wait for this interminable primary to be over. Even Free Republic does not bash Hillary as much because they are more focused on the GOP than HRC. (And, also plenty of racism, phobia about muslims, misogyny and red baiting).
The relentless obsession with hating Hillary in GDP cannot be healthy and I can only take their ranting in small doses. I truly wonder what "issues" some of the more motivated posters have. It is no surprise to me that the majority of the unhinged venom comes from an very threatened demographic on both the right and the left. Their attacks on the minutia of all things Hillary come from the same mindset that the Birth Certificate, Muslim, fist bump, etc challenges were lodged against Obama. That some will vote for or allow Trump to win reveals true motives that are very ugly indeed.
I don't like being around bigots of any sort and it is a shame that DU has become infested with them. Like you, I'm hanging on until June and staying with the quality people in the Hillary and the AA Group. I'm so grateful for the outstanding people here and feel proud to be part of the very best forums at DU!

(740 posts)...the Hannity forums seem more sane than GDP; I like to read those every week or so because some of them (usually) have a reasonable discussion or three. They have a handful of liberals there that state our case repeatedly and can sometimes convince a person or two of it. They also have a handful of liberal trolls but reading trolls is boring.
GDP seems more like Godlikeproductions which has thread titles such as:
"MSNBC sez: STOP LYING, HILLARY! Its OVER, b***h!"
"For Pete's Sake *** CLINTON IS UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION !!!! DO PEOPLE REALIZE THIS???"
"I feel displeased, offended, brutalized, affronted, even inflamed and convulsed by Hillary's proven lying and deceit about her e-mails !!!"
"MAYAN PROPHECY for the true end date of JUNE 3/4 2016"
"Horrifyingly Beautiful: Psilocybin Mushrooms (Documentary)"
It's just like reading GDP. Weirdly placed bolding is so people won't think it is me saying these things.
