Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumMedia will announce Hillary the nominee 3 hours before CA voting ends
She will probably be 30-40 delegates away when the polls in jersey open. (There are 2 small primaries before June 7, which will put her within 30-40). Jersey polls close in the east coast 3 hours before California, which will easily give her the nomination. At 8:00 eastern time, expect the media to call it for Hillary. California won't even matter.
June 7, 8:00pm. Keep your tv on

(587 posts)Is there a resource showing which super delegates have committed and which have not?
There are 712 in total, 540 committed for HRC, 42 committed for BS, leaving 130 uncommitted.
I think we all know probably none of those 130 are going to go for Bernie. Maybe 20 or 30 of them won't commit to Hillary because they need to appear impartial to the end (like Obama, Biden, Carter, etc).
That leaves a good 100 that will be committing to Hillary, it's just a matter of when. And she only needs 79.
So I would think that there will be quite a rush for those remaining ~100 to get on her bandwagon. I doubt many of them will want to be seen to have supported her only after she got the nomination.
I expect it could be like a snowball rolling down hill. Once momentum picks up, things will happen quickly!

(30,058 posts)Nomination to Hillary. In some ways since Weaver has come out and said he does not want the media to declare the results while the primaries are still voting.

(9,967 posts)it has been done forever, both for primaries and the GE.
The thought that NJ won't be called because voting is still open in CA is absurd
