Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont conceded the race gracefully cautioning his supporters that even though the primary was tough and attacks were made that, “Secretary Hillary Clinton is a hundred times better for this country than Donald Trump.” She has his full endorsement for the White House and he’ll campaign for her when needed. Senator Sanders returns to the Senate with a heroes welcome and begins addressing the legislation of the day.
The Progressive universe online starts to heal as both sides come together. Sanders surrogates and Clinton surrogates start coming together to reiterate the points Senator Sanders made in his concession speech that. "Sometimes in campaigns, things get a little bit out of hand," Sanders said. "I happen to respect the secretary very much." The PUMAs and Busters are swiftly condemned by both sides for their attempts to derail Hillary Clinton’s historic candidacy. Hillary Clinton is our candidate now and we’re all behind her Donald Trump must be stopped and President Obama’s legacy must be protected.
President Obama extols Clinton’s virtues to World leaders in Japan and dismiss notions that the Democratic candidate will lose. Hillary Clinton has started to hit the campaign trail with Vice President Joe Biden in Pennsylvania and Ohio while talking about Joe Biden’s cancer fighting initiative. The campaign is investing a lot of time on behalf of Senate hopeful Katy McGinty fighting to replace the bigot Pat Toomey and recapture the Senate. The campaign is spending nearly as much time campaigning for Clinton as it is on behalf of Senate candidates in Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Illinois, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Democrats have a real chance of retaking the Senate this election and House prospects also look good. With the progressive movement united towards stopping Donald Trump the country seems ripe for a Democratic wave.
Ahead of the Democratic nomination in Philadelphia which will be one for the history books Senator Sanders back in the Senate has been working with party leaders on how to grow the party. Prominent members of the Sanders campaign have found work on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, taking her message to Sanders supporters about how to fix the problems in this country. Talks between the outgoing Democratic National Committee chair Debby Wasserman-Schultz have been described as productive while working with the Sanders campaign on ironing out the differences between Clinton’s platform and his own. Bernie’s minority report before the Convention is said to be focused on addressing progressive concerns such as poverty, access to quality health care, and the environment. The report is expected to be a full-throated endorsement of the DNC’s new platform to be unveiled at the convention.
It’s Monday morning, Donald Trump has issued a statement that his insult on group x wasn’t really an insult and anyone who read his statement would agree.
