Kamala Harris, but that would be a hugely noticeable snub of Loretta Sanchez if they are against each other in November.

A Sophomore from Burlington College perhaps.

Edit: President Obama, but I assume he's going to get a plum speaking gig anyway.

Tags them as a major up-and-comer.

And since Obama in 2004; it is seen as a Presidential springboard.

It would be a great chance to put the spotlight on a rising Democrat just like Obama was given the spotlight in 2004. That was one of his defining moments. He's going to speak at some point in the convention anyway.

There are a lot of Democratic women who would be terrific keynote speakers. But the Democratic Party started a new tradition when they invited a young, unknown Barack Obama to deliver the speech that quite literally changed the world. So let's give an up and coming young Democratic woman a big boost in her political career, and possibly start her on the road to the White House as well.

energized to work FOR the national good rather than energized to take FROM the national good. Life is difficult for them but I venture to say fully half of those screaming Bernie-bots pay cell phone and other media bills every month that are twice as much as subsidized tuition at some public colleges or community colleges.

I would like to see a level-headed millennial speak to not only the problems of their generation but to realistic solutions.

In one great, moving and honest convention speech, at least half of the mindless Bernie supporters could hear and learn something other than the constant bashing of Wall Street and big banks and income gaps. There would be an opportunity to give some attention to some of the good that banks and Wall Street support and call them out to do more. After all, Wall Street and big banks are really the PEOPLE who sit on those boards and in those management
seats.
