For the first time ever, today I'm blocking people on Twitter... (Hillary Group)

I must have regrettably just passed by all of the hateful racial and religious Twitter taunts aimed at President Obama without blocking. And I never engage in online "fights," here or elsewhere. But, as a woman, the hateful ugliness aimed at Hillary, a woman, has gotten to me.

The names she is called, the comments on her appearance, the meanness regarding her policies, the presumption of guilt in many areas -- it's too much. She is a brave, strong woman and has been through this before. She will survive, and, I think, conquer.

And my Twitter feed will be a kinder, gentler place.

Make a comment about their capabilities in some fashion--if I went into more detail I'd probably get a hide from the No Sex Threads patrol, but you know what I mean.

"That's what everyone with a small ... mind... says!" That kind of thing!

If you realize they're coming from a place of utter and abject ignorance, you can slap them back without too much trouble. Don't get overly invested in hate. Either laugh at it, mock it robustly, or ignore it. Behind every hate-filled post is a dweeb who can't get a date, I'm guessing.

I suppose we all knew it was coming, did it ever really stop? It is going to be really bad. I am sorry to all of you who support her. It is going to hurt a lot I am sure because they are going to pull out all the stops.

we can remain civil I think, at least I try...lol. Not always easy but I am learning.

Nobody wants to see her brought down this way. I would wager there are people who actually hate the woman who do not want to see that.

Whatever, block away. That stuff hurts and you can't really fight it with people who are willing to put it out there like that. The time to fight that specific group is after this is settled. ((hugs)) Be strong!
