Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumSo I've been blocked from the Sanders group
Although I make my opinion very clear in GD-P, I posted nothing in the protected group that was disruptive, rude or insulting, and I noted as much to the esteemed Host who saw fit to ban me.
Got to love the spirit of open communication.

(92,192 posts)Congress to pass the laws, but that is OK. Special groups have that prerogative
Orrex
(63,213 posts)Hell, I've posted worse in other groups and been warned. But not today, and not in the group that's so quick to cry foul when a favored member is PPR'ed.
As you note, special groups have that prerogative, but that's still pretty weak.
Cha
(297,240 posts)they never give the correct reason, either. What's up with that?!

(32,623 posts)Sanders group:
A group for supporters of Bernie Sanders.
Pretty clear, really. Here's ours:
Statement of Purpose
Discuss the life, career, and accomplishments of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Supporters only.
Groups are for supporters.
Orrex
(63,213 posts)Maybe they'll reinstate me if that miracle occurs.
I can't respect the "us and no one else" vibe of some groups, regardless of the "statement of purpose." Even this group is more tolerant of others, as long as they don't cause a stir in-group.

(1,307 posts)However, I think it was for saying Bernie and his fans suck? So at least I went down flaming.
LOL Not my style .. I trashed that group way back.
But to each his/her own.

(1,968 posts)But I don't post there and as soon as I see the "Bernie Sanders" group up top, the window gets closed.
Alas, I just don't particularly like the guy, so commenting over there would be inappropriate.

(8,545 posts)I said I think Bernie shows class, and I wish more of his supporter showed that same kind of class

(1,965 posts)For posting in a Latest Threads post that was cross posted from the clique.
I agreed with the OP, as was every other reply, that were the millenials ALL to turn out to vote, Mr Sanders would win in an unprecedented landslide.
I went on to point out, that during the last 2 elections, that of the group of millenials that I am personally acquainted with, numbering 20-25 at most, only roughly half bothered to vote, despite expressing outrage over several different issues. Minutes later the automated PM came.
I also made an appeal to the host that banned me. I suspect that, as in my case, the banning host lacked the class or grace to reply.
As my dear old Grand Dad so fondly and often said... Fuck 'em and feed 'em fish.

(32,342 posts)But they are quite quick to ban over there. They just twist the reason why to make it sound like they did it for a noble cause.
Cha
(297,240 posts)never give the real reason why they were Blocked. Just act so innocent.. it really is funny.

(55,147 posts)You won't find anything useful there except (send me a PM for me to finish that sentence).
I trashed that Group long ago and it has made reading DU a much better experience.

(3,825 posts)They remind me of my teenagers at a certain age, disagreements sometimes ended by going into their room and slamming the door. Oh well, if you can't handle a discussion on ideas, good luck with the Republicans. Then like Harry said "if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen."

(42,862 posts)I only wish that "trashed" groups and "trashed" threads and "ignored" posters would also be blocked from this web site's home page. (Is it a bug? Or is it by design?)
Orrex
(63,213 posts)I had a few people on Ignore for quite a while, and they still showed up on the home page all the time (well, until recently...)
Likewise for "trashed" keywords. Somehow they still litter the front page daily.

(3,709 posts)for pointing out the use of Ann Coulter's comments to attack Hillary were unbecoming of a Democrat and should not be done. For some reason, they decided I was the enemy. I mentioned I was undecided at that moment but after they unloaded on me for criticizing their use of right-wing propaganda... I immediately made up my mind and declared for Hillary. Not going to support a candidate with such narrow-minded supporters willing to use any tactic to further their cause.
Very self-directed group with absolutely no sense of fair play.

(63,213 posts)Sometimes, it seems, his supporters work very hard to dissuade others from joining them.

(6,457 posts)I wonder if it is permanent, since I really do like him. It is easier at times to say nothing. I have been here since 2004 and never been blocked.

(10,893 posts)just for saying that a certain thread with an image depicting HC being propped up by media networks is unhelpful in winning over uncommitted Democrats like me, and that it just comes off as a petty excuse for why BS is polling badly. Like you, I never even had to set foot inside the BS group to be blocked. It was my first time being blocked from any group. Between that and other things I've experienced on political sites like DU, and as I find out more about his campaign, I find myself far less supportive of BS than I once was. I went from liking him the most out of the 3 remaining candidates to liking him the least.
