Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumTo all of DU let's get something straight and stop with the bullshit.
There is a site being talked about in this OP http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511006855#top
There are innuendos in that thread that it's some how part of http://hillaryclintonsupporters.com/ I am here to tell you right now that it is NOT! I don't own that site, I don't run that site and http://hillaryclintonsupporters.com/ which I own and operate in not connected with it in any way, shape or form. Anyone tells you otherwise is full of shit.
http://hillaryclintonsupporters.com/ is a place for supporters of Hillary Clinton to help get Hillary Clinton elected unlike other sites out there like http://jackpineradicals.org/forum.php that trash Democrats to try to make one Democrat (who BTW just joined the Democratic Party) look good.
Now that we have that cleared up, carry on.

(10,622 posts)The nameservers on your choice of hosts (private, virtual private , or shared are simple entries)
I have hosted sites before, and with twelve different sites the domain names used three different proxy information for client privacy. So there is that. It is a separate thing entirely from where it is hosted.
I also purchased two separate blocks of IP addresses to offer clients dedicated IP's. If the IP's were not of the same block, they could not be noticed even by sequential relation.
I think you have a hand in it, but to what extent is difficult to say with the knowledge we both possess and know how to use.

(39,961 posts)Root-level DNS servers often reveal much information, particularly if you are an engineer or even a mid-level administrator to a registrar. You can never be sure. Even IPs can be misleading and send you on a wild goose chase thinking someone is in WA State, or outside of Los Angeles. It is AMAZING how things work if you are familiar enough with pathing.
Sometimes you find out that someone who should be in OK, isn't there at all, nor in AZ, either
I do hope that you have a pleasant day.

(5,811 posts)I cannot emphasize strongly enough how really great HRC is doing. And it's so cool and subtle the way it's happening. AG Holder just endorsed her. That's going to mean a lot to the Black Lives Matters movement and what President Obama called Justice Matters in his final #SOTU
HRC has got this. Seriously, she has definitely got this.

(50,955 posts)I've been saying all along that I will vote for whomever is best primed to beat the Republicans at primary time. But I am right now officially changing my stance. I am for Hillary.
It isn't because of any of the DU infighting, of course. DU has nothing to do with the real world.
It is because I think she's the candidate who will be able to actually do things given the way the government is structured right now, and the things she wants to do are things I want to see done.
I like Bernie. I really do. I think he is making a major contribution and pushing the party left, and that is a good thing. I just don't think he would be able to materialize many of the great things he is advocating. That's based on his past record and an examination of what details of his plans that he has made public.
I don't like the nastiness of Bernie's supporters. That is not in any way a major part of my decision, but I do think his supporters would be a significant liability for Bernie if he did become the candidate. (Can you see it now?: "I reject your vote for Bernie because you are not one of the elect who supported him from the beginning! You do not agree with every last thing he says, so we are kicking you off the island!"
Not sure why I am putting this into this thread. But I feel like I should say it out loud and be official.
Another benefit of this is that I get to stand shoulder to shoulder with William769!

(70 posts)Clinton has some baggage yes but who in the field doesn't? If Sanders get's the Democrat nod he will appear in the Generals as "the socialist commie". Most knuckle dragging GOPers think socialism and communism are one in the same. I don't have any major differences with Bernie but he has less chance than Clinton to win.

I'm sorry to say but I agree. I'm a Socialist and a member of the Labour party in the UK. I have no dog in this fight, save not wanting another disastrous Republican presidency. I was barred from the Sanders group for saying that in the UK Bill Clinton is greatly admired for his hands on approach to the Northern Ireland peace process, and that Sanders is relatively unknown.
Both of these statements are true, but I was kicked off regardless. This leads me to think that Sanders is opposed to the peace process, if he isn't, a lot of his supporters are.

(297,323 posts)My suspicions were first raised on another site where the most outspoken Sanders supporter was someone who voted for Dubya (twice!) She spent most of her time vilifying Hillary Clinton, as opposed to the Clinton supporters who had never voted for Dubya and thought Sanders was unelectable but would vote for him if he was the nominee.
There was a suspicion that this particular Sanders supporter only supported him because she thought his nomination would ensure a Republican victory.

(92,233 posts)stand anything positive being said about the Clintons.
For those that subscribe to that hatred, they are a huge liability to their candidate.
In a similar way through proxy, the cheering of self-identified progressives on the vile Facebook attacks against Planned Parenthood, only add to that liability, and those aren't the only examples of such behavior.

(41,208 posts)I think that it's more that it wasn't such a key event outside the UK as in it; and some of the people involved in the primaries may be scarcely aware of it.
As a UK-er myself, I am very grateful to Bill Clinton for just that reason.
As regards being blocked from the Bernie Sanders group - I think there are over 200 people blocked from that group, and even more blocked from the Hillary Clinton group. I have not even attempted to get involved in the primary candidate groups (for the record, I prefer Sanders, but would take ANYONE over the Republican loonies, and anyway it's not up to me as a non-American). I have quite enough of that sort of thing with the way that the Labour Party in the UK react to any political defeat by fighting each other rather than the Tories. And Corbyn gets the blame for it, but it was going on loooong before Corbyn.

(58,785 posts)posters here too of course.
You certainly have their possessiveness about Bernie pegged (and their self-view as the elect battling those who cannot see). I suspect that Bernie-the-Nominee, in wooing the vote of a wide range of more moderate groups, would inevitably severely disappoint and even enrage his most zealous followers, causing some to fall away, betrayed yet again, and others to turn on him.
Then there's standing with William769 against this dishonesty and hostility. Of course.

A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Sun Dec 20, 2015, 03:08 AM, and voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Does not harm my feelings, but is unnessecary rude and does nothing useful for the further debate.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: this term birther needs to die, and not be used as a insult around here
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Sounds like the poster is calling the previous poster a birther. Personal attack.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No, they're referring to Trump.
So many of my Hillary supporter buddies are on a time out now for speaking truth to power.. run off by those who can't handle it. I know they're glad to have a sanctuary for Hillary Supporters.

(2,034 posts)but we'll get the last laugh when we make Hillary the nominee. I am meeting more and more people on social media who are fed up with what Sanders and his supporters are doing. Many have told me that their treatment has forced them to leave Bernie and come over to our side. They may dominate social media now, but come the end of the primary they are going to wish they had treated us better and allowed us to debate like true democrats.

How thin-skinned are those people? Why should you have to admit or deny anything? Satire is protected speech. No one has done anything unethical, illegal or immoral. (13,258 posts)FYI - the following is a copy and paste of my reply to OS' thread in GD.
An interesting coincidence I noticed at DU's brother site, discussionist.
The site currently in contention, is being promoted at discussionist as a parody of DU site. The poster promoting it goes by the moniker gr8daze.
Being the curious little pain in the ass I am, I googled around a bit and found an interesting email address using the same moniker.
The coincidence is that the email address (gr8daze@<domain name> was attached to a domain registration in 2011, as the contact email address, for DUISNOTFORREALDEMOCRATS.COM registered under the auspices of People for Free Democracy in Washington State.
The poster of the same name denies ownership of this latest "parody of DU" site in a thread up at discussionist.
The same moniker also shows up at reddit with a few posts attacking Bernie Sanders.
Just coincidences. And innuendo. But I found it interesting.
I won't include links here as the information is available on the internet via the various Who Is services for domain registration services.
Oh, and a quick read of the "about us" page at said site currently in contention, reads like the whinings of a petulant 12-year-old after his mother grounded him for not doing his chores.

Broadbrush attack, name calling.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Jan 16, 2016, 10:26 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Since this post is in the Hillary Group, I will not vote to hide it even though I am a member of JPR and a Bernie supporter. If HRC supporters want to
talk trash and insult DU'ers who support Bernie, then let them keep it in their group. It just identifies who is classy and who is not.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Let everyone see the troll's comments.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: It's GD-P (where Democrats are free to attack other Democrats) but going with 'delusional BernHoles' is going too far.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Feel the Berne aka-chmeee!
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I don't see any personal attack, just a minor slur, to be expected in primary season. I almost voted to hide, because the poster used "hoard" instead of "horde".
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
