And so are a lot of you in the Hillary group. I got active yesterday and this morning in the GDP forum. I responded here and there in Hillary's behalf, but I think I was always civil. Now already I have earned a post about LAS14 and her desperate posts. (The writer has blocked me from his vision.) What have we come to that we're as bad as the Republicans down under the covers in social media. Thank goodness the debates have remained about issues (almost entirely... did you notice that Bernie didn't mention Hillary's speaking engagements after she called him on them in the previous debate?)
I've always wondered if the campaign didn't send Bill out to make "a mistake" and point out the vitriol that's going on in social media.
Well, no problem for me. I've always been a "sticks and stones will break my bones" girl, and am sort of proud that I got noticed.

(11,588 posts)Bernie does try to dodge scrutiny and has tried to debate more offensively, but it doesn't last long.

(11,746 posts)It isn't you, although the hoi polloi will try really hard to convince you that it is all you and not them. They will almost invariably change the subject from whatever it is to something about you personally. They are that low and uninspired.
Personally I don't hold their lack of integrity or their incompetence against Bernie Sanders. My advice is to understand what you are dealing with, and that there is no cure for their disorder. Most of them are indeed not Democrats. Most are radical, disaffected leftists acting out their own petty fears and frustration against you and they are desperate to sow discord and dissatisfaction. They are sociopaths, plain and simple.
I think that about 30% of our population is sociopathic so you can think of your encounters with them as practice. They cannot actually hurt you here, so it's a fine venue.
I don't hold the Bernie Bros against Sanders. I remember well his instantaneous response when confronted with Bill Clinton's statements. Words to the effect of "That's totally unacceptable. We don't want them. They should leave the campaign." I do think he was sincere. I was shocked when I got involved in this web site to discover how right Bill Clinton was. I'm guessing the campaign planned to have him.... oh darn... senior moment.... you know... when someone talks outside the plan... There's a good phrase for it....
