Hill's Group: Hillary Clinton to campaign in Birmingham on Saturday

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/02/hillary_clinton_to_campaign_in.html

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is coming to Birmingham on Saturday, her campaign confirmed Wednesday. Further details have yet to be released, but the former secretary of state's visit is scheduled for just a few days before Alabamians head to the polls for Tuesday's March 1 primary.

The visit will be Clinton's third in Alabama since declaring her run for president. She previously stopped in Hoover and was in Montgomery to mark the 60th anniversary of the bus boycott.

primary season is probably the only time you will see a presidential candidate, given the Redness of that state for the general election.

The SEC primary is all about the Deep Red South getting first crack at nominating candidates in bulk!

And now they campaign down here!

This is Hillary Country - unquestionably! But not likely in the general!

This is where you can find the Democratic underground for sure!

Montgomery and a swath through central east/west Alabama (a.k.a. "The Black Belt&quot and Birmingham are true blue!

We all went down to Dexter Avenue Church to see Hillary at the 60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

The church was packed with invitation-only guests, but a crowd gathered early for no-show seats. Four hours later, out of the patient crowd, about six people got in!

The security - the church is a block from the Alabama State Capitol - was mindboggling!

All we saw was a hand wave, and she was gone!

But we wanted HER to see, there are Democrats in Alabama!

I'm sure the Birmingham event will be packed!

description of the 60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott!

It's too bad that you didn't get to see more than a hand wave. But I am sure that she was moved by the sight of Dem solidarity, all the more impressive in a very "red" state. I know that I would have been.

she knows she will win states like South Carolina (Sat) and Georgia and Alabama on Tuesday but she wants landslides there so she gets huge piles of delegates.
