Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumIs it OK for DUers to refer to Hillary as a Republican?
I'm not sure what all the rules are, but it seems inappropriate to me to refer to her as a Republican.

(19,460 posts)Most of us could care less what they call her. The primary is almost over and we won't have to listen to the crap anymore.

(6,496 posts)I was just wondering... with all the posts about people getting suspended and such. I was just wondering why that is OK. I guess I don't understand how things work around here.

(11,586 posts)Hillary Clinton is no Republican--she is the only true Democrat running for POTUS.

(15,438 posts)They can call her everything and anything they want. It's not helping Bernie, though.

It drives me nuts

(30,058 posts)Hillary has been a Democrat in her voting life, much longer than a year. This is like a RW talking point of Republicans calling other Republicans RINOs. What's more those accusing Hillary of being a Republican do not have the correct information of what being a Democrat or they would not distort the fact she is a Democrat. I have been a Democrat since voting age (and before also), I know what a Democrat is.
They don't have life's work pointing to their candidate showing the experience and qualifications of Hillary Clinton so they use false talking points. We are lucky to have the most qualified candidate we are backing.

(31,170 posts)I used to see that a lot back when I was here more often. Lots of drama about "Obama is going to _____." But then he didn't, and they would have been spinning like tops for days.
As mentioned above, it's a little crazy here right now, but it should settle down soon.
And if it wasn't the primaries, you are right, it wouldn't be allowed.

(9,118 posts)The Bernie-philes who call former Secretary of State Clinton a Republican remind me of the right-wing whack jobs who kept referring to the late Senator Kennedy and the Chappaquidick Bridge decades after it happened and the late Senator Byrd's brief membership in the KKK nearly fifty years after he quit it. I think Secretary Clinton can be excused for having outgrown the Republican Party over 40 years ago.
A message to the self-appointed Commisars of Political Purity: a lot of us Democrats are wised-up former Republicans. We deeply resent being insulted by the infantile leftists (As well as by the trolls and by the undercover right-wing Koch-roach posters) sprinkled in the ranks of the pro-Sanders faction. And I suggest you get real on another point: if Bernie Sander gets a miracle and wins the Democratic presidential nomination, you guys are going to need our votes to send Bernie to the White House.

(7,286 posts)Its trendy to come up with new things.....also a challenge 'cuz the actual republicans have been smearing her for decades.
DUers are so clever when they try to out repuke the repukes....like whathisface rolling the rock up the hill.
You are allowed also to bash her husband, PBO and anyone who backs or endorses the candidate HRC
What is not allowed: calling Sen. Bernie Sanders nor his supporters anything bad or posting anything critical of them.
I hope that helps.
Note to jury: this post the opinion of a stunt driver.....do not try this at home
