Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) took a cue from Jimmy Kimmel, reading mean tweets he's gotten about his support for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in a video posted by her campaign.

Franken, who was a cast member on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" prior to his time in the U.S. Senate, has been tweeting his support for Clinton in the lead-up to the Minnesota caucus.

They seem to be roughly half the population...go figure!
Lots of women support Sec. Clinton, and in order for real democracy, we would need a whole lot more in government. How about one for POTUS? I think Hillary Clinton will be the perfect candidate to finally shatter the highest of glass ceilings.

Gosh Darn, I just like him.

It would have made no difference to me if he had chosen to support Sanders. He is a great, liberal Senator who works to make the lives of people better.

I am glad he is supports Clinton. His titanic fight form his first election showed that he is a fighter and that will to fight for what is right means a great deal.

Love Al and have been a supporter of his since his first campaign.

He's about as close to ideologically aligned with my positions as any politician out there.
