Barring a catastrophe, Bernie is finished.

Hillary's second magic number from last night, the one she needed to beat to preclude Bernie from meeting his worst case scenario number, was +478. AP hasn't updated their count in a while, but CNN has it at 1055 total, including supers. If that's correct, then she has picked up 511 delegates from last night (with only a few still not allocated).

For the record, a couple days ago I predicted she would pick up 508.

I'm still exhausted from yesterday, and have to do other stuff this morning, and as you can imagine there's a lot to update (and I'd like to wait for the AP to catch up to CNN).

Her lead should only increase through mid March (I won't speculate after that due to the polls getting too old or not existing).

I think he should stay in the race--it provides a useful contrast and motivates voters. At least until the candidacy starts to take on an air of the tired and sad, if it ever does.

I love Clinton, absolutely adore her, but hanging in until June of 2008 was pathetic. She should have ducked out in April or May at the outside.
