23. I will admit to being one who decided to support Hillary because I was turned off by Bernie's folks.

I went to various sources looking for honest debate and answers to what I thought were basic questions. I was so horrified by some of the Bernie supporters that I realized that movement wasn't for me. Two of my roommates, and my boyfriend, had similar experiences. Interestingly, most of the kids I know at my large East Coast University are Hillary supporters. There are some very loud Bernie people, but all the ones with more calm temperaments agree that Hillary is the most experienced, and best-prepared to be our next president.

It was very unpleasant posting civil things and getting masses of vitriolic responses. Almost all of which were devoid of any real content and amounted to right wing smears.

That said, I was able to engage in some interesting, productive discussions with Bernie supporters. It's just that it was very rare.

It's really amazing how different DU feels now. I guess I hadn't realised how many Hillary supporters were on time out! I just thought there weren't very many of us, but in actual fact, it seems many/most of them had been silenced. It definitely feels more inclusive and more reflective of the general population now.

Nice to see Trumad back too. He won't know me under this name, but I've been here since 2002 and I know him very well! Good poster.
