Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumYou do realize that Mr. Obama is about to be thrown under the bus.
He gently mentioned Hillary in a talk and the bus key was put into the ignition switch. It will soon crank.
Oh well...he can have Tea with Senator Warren.

(24,581 posts)I personally think they are going to have a terrific party under that bus, and the BS crowd will be so jealous they weren't invited.

(31,235 posts)I'm liking this Skinner as well. It's time to stop coddling the sowers of dissent. We have an election to win. AFAIC, the primaries were over even before Mega Tuesday, so I agree with Kos, if you're still bashing & trashing, and you won't go voluntarily, we'll give you the push so you can find someplace else to engage in that. We have an election to win!!!!

(11,257 posts)Someone posts about spreading the word to vote green and THREE people voted to keep it???
Do they have any idea how much damage Trump, Cruz, or frankly any Republican will do in the four years that follow after they vote to "teach the party a lesson"?

(31,235 posts)appears a number of folks on that thread are in agreement with him/her. Jill Stein's hobbits are out in force, trying to raise her profile as a serious contender for the office of POTUS. Let's hope "Democrats" are much smarter than that.

(5,044 posts)We've come to the point where we need to rally around the highly likely nominee. It's nothing against Sander's, it's truthful to say that if Sander's was where Hillary is now, people would start rallying around him. Hillary's lead over Bernie's is massive compared to Obama's lead over Hillary's in 2008. Let's not move the goal post!
We need to prepare for our convention and install the campaign mechanics for not only winning the Whitehouse in November, but the down ballot.

(22 posts)I work at a university and some of the things I heard said about President Obama today by ostensible Democrats made me heated. I really will be glad when this election cycle is over and Hillary is safely ensconced in the WH on 1/20/17. All of this vitriol on both the Repug side and certain corners of the Dem side have really made me depressed.

(22 posts)I've lurked on DU for quite some time, and Hillary was my candidate in 08. But when it came time to unite behind our future president, I was happy and proud to do so and was heartened by the amazing job Hillary and Bill did in campaigning for President Obama, especially when contrasted with the sideshow that was McCain/Palin in '08 and Mittens/Ryan in '12.
I am just hoping that Sen. Sanders supporters also do the right thing when the time comes. The country would have gone down the tubes if McCain or Mittens had gotten into the WH, but if Trump weasels his way in, the U.S. may very well cease to exist.

(2,792 posts)No Democratic nominee can win in the general election this year by opposing Obama. Even Democrats who disagree with him, tend to like him.
Democrats won't hide Obama the way Republicans hid George Bush. Obama will play a major role in getting Democrats elected this year.
