In an interview i the NYTimes in May last year, Karl Rove revealed how he intended to get the Left to do his work for him in undermining Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, BS and his supporters fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
The Right Baits the Left to Turn Against Hillary Clinton

For months now, America Rising has sent out a steady stream of posts on social media attacking Mrs. Clinton, some of them specifically designed to be spotted, and shared, by liberals. The posts highlight critiques of her connections to Wall Street and the Clinton Foundation and feature images of Democrats like Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York, interspersed with cartoon characters and pictures of Kevin Spacey, who plays the villain in House of Cards. And as they are read and shared, an anti-Clinton narrative is reinforced.

The idea is to make her life difficult in the primary and challenge her from the left, said Colin Reed, America Risings executive director. We dont want her to enter the general election not having been pushed from the left, so if we have opportunities creative ways, especially online to push her from the left, well do it just to show those folks who she needs to turn out that shes not in line with them.

You might start looking at union households. You might start looking at Bernie Sanderss core of support, Mr. Moffatt said, referring to Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Mr. Law said members of his staff at American Crossroads had easily been able to inhabit the liberal role, despite being fervent Republicans. We wear these little bracelets W.W.E.W.D., Mr. Law joked, referring to What would Elizabeth Warren do?
Not only should BS supporters ask themselves if they are unwittingly doing the work of Karl Rove, they should also look around them and question whether many of their compatriots are actually Republicans in disguise, trying to deceive them.

(12,448 posts)that so many purported Democrats are so easily duped. Anyone should be able to see Rove behind the anti-Clinton (Hillary and Bill) narratives we're seeing here on DU.
I only wonder how many are duped, and how many are Rovian operatives.

(2,577 posts)Too many times DU's homepage over the past several months has looked like I was visiting a right-wing site. Then add to that the blaring headlines on RSN--Hillary is a PLUTOCRAT!!!! Hillary isn't really a friend to African-Americans!!!! Seriously?
I truly have no problems with Bernie, but his supporters have done an epic job of turning me off. Note to people in ANY kind of primary--do NOT trash your opponent, especially when your opponent will likely be the person in the general. Don't you think the OTHER party will use your words against you? Duh. I have noticed that most Bernie supporters I have heard from have one sentence of positive about Bernie and then immediately start trashing Hillary. That turns me off. You need to be FOR your candidate.
