HILLARY CLINTON ROOM
...Sanders wins the nomination.
Not one HRC supporter on this site has said they would not support the nominee but plenty of Sanders supporters have said they will not support Hillary if she is the nominee.
I am just so sick of people who make accusations against us and they can't back it up.
We are loyal to the party!

I'm willing to bet that the majority of Bernie supporters on here will not vote for Hillary but will vote Green or another third party

(30,745 posts)Look at many of the histories of the people. A lot of them have more than a thousand posts, but they are only active during the primary seasons. They come here only to disrupt.
I don't think Bernie would be happy with many of his so-called supporters here.

(16,420 posts)This is getting ridiculous. I'll support the nominee no matter who it is. People on both sides of this issue are really ticking me off. I'm pulling for Bernie, but will vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination. I am a Democrat.

Maybe they'll all leave when Hillary is swon in as Madam President.

(11,573 posts)I'm a third-geneation straight-ticket Democrat. The only reason I stopped ticking the single box is that the Texas Democratic Party was in.political ICU for years, and there were down ticket races with no Democratic candidate. I've been voting Libertarian or Green for those slots not because I wouldn't vote for a Dem but to actively deny a vote to the batsht crazy Texas R's.

(54,770 posts)particularly his desire to see us more like Scandinavian countries (although I would prefer a lot more diversity).
But, I don't think he can win the general election. In the highly unlikely event he did, he would be thwarted by Congress at every turn and get us nowhere. On the other hand, Clinton is highly electable and can accomplish a lot.

One has to be reasonable. Our country is not there yet, and not in the near future either.
For some reason pragmatism and realism is frowned on around here.
Liberal thought always wins in the end, we are just discussing ( fighting) about how fast it will happen.

(11,573 posts)is that Sanders submits some terrific legislation but can't get it passed. Hillary, on the other hand, knows how and when to cajole, make a horse trade or jawbone the opposition into submission. That's how LBJ got the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act passed. It works.

(16,104 posts)Senator Sanders (I-VT) is the Democratic Party nominee for president, I would vote for him. Yes, I would vote for a DINO like Sanders and would never consider supporting or even contemplating a vote for a Republican for president. I do not believe 'anyone but' applies to Sanders, the way it seems to apply to our Hillary.
Fortunately, no worries! Most Democrats remain committed to winning in 2016!

(11,573 posts)It may not be as easy as they think. In Texas, we used to be able to write in anyone. On a couple occasions, where there was no opposition to a local crook, I wrote in one of my cats. Now, there's not even a write in spot on the ballot unless a candidate has declared him/herself a write-in candidate and has submitted the required number of supporters' signatures and other.paperwork to the election officials.
Sanders has said he won't be a spoiler, and I believe him. There won't be any write-ins for him in Texas.

(27,815 posts)Just remember that in the great scheme of things, what gets said on DU is basically of no consequence.
There are alleged Sanders supporters here whose only intent is to draw voters/supporters away from HRC. And their reasoning is obvious: Hillary is the front-runner and still polls well against all GOP contenders. Knocking down HER numbers is all that matters.
Are there honest Sanders supporters here? Absolutely. But by and large, they are NOT the ones bashing Hillary in order to make their candidate-of-choice seem more appealing.
As for the "won't vote for HRC if she's the nominee" folks, I guarantee you that a good number of them have never voted (D) in their lives, and wouldn't even if Bernie was the nominee.
Sad to say, a lot of posters here are easily led - and will claim not to vote (D), or not vote at all, because they want to align themselves with a certain outspoken clique.
Being an HRC supporter on DU is not "cool" - but in RL, it means you're with the majority of your fellow Party members.
hrmjustin
(71,265 posts)NanceGreggs
(27,815 posts)... the RW trolls/actual Democrats divide that's showing itself on DU.
Think about it. If the GOP had a clear frontrunner who was beating all Dem contenders in polls/surveys, and I wanted to be disruptive on Republican sites, what would serve my purpose better than to try and convince posters there that their frontrunner can't win the general, and some much-admired (but unlikely to win) candidate should have their support instead?
In the unlikely event that Bernie started polling better than HRC in one-on-one polls against GOP contenders, you would see a lot of so-called Sanders supporters here suddenly posting about how Bernie isn't such a great idea after all.
Some are more obvious than others. But many are VERY obvious.

(9,148 posts)..when she uses feminism."
Good god, Hillary Rodham spoke on behalf of fairness & feminism since her colllege days.
40 effing years of fighting for equality & feminist issues in the US AND around the world. This remark here on DU is just a sample of the ignorance of those who throw out lies about her.
They are no different than the likes of Joni Ernst.
Truth is people that admonish Hillary on an issue like feminism, clearly don't know what she stands for.
Just borrow the RW lie to prop up their candidate.
What an embarrassingly ignorant thing to accuse HRC of.

(42,641 posts)If so, can one assume that most people posting here are.........Democrats? If so, can one assume that people who are Democrats generally vote for the...........Democratic person in an election?
Why all the silliness, no, make that lunacy, of claiming that if (insert your favorite candidates name here) is not the nominee, I will certainly vote for the GOP candidate?
Whoever is the Democratic nominee will have my vote. The nominee, whoever he/she is, may not be the perfect candidate in my eyes, but he/she will have my vote.

(15,719 posts)vote for Hillary the first time around. They were tired of the Republicans. But when it came down to the general, "White McCain" or "Ni#$$r Muslem Obama" guess who got their vote. Primaries and General in the conservative states (can't say South anymore) are 2 different things. I know the regular normal Democratic Party voter will vote for the party nominee. I am sure there will be a lot of people who will be for HRC in the Primary but may not vote D in the general. These people need to be found and talked to, to convince them that it is important who they vote for. Frankly I think Palin may have helped HRC in the south. They accepted a woman running for the office and that is a big step down here. Maybe in another 20 years or so, race won't make any difference, I hope the gender difference is over with.
