Hillary Clinton will never stop fighting for justice HRC ROOM

Two years ago, I buried my son, Dontre. He was sleeping on a bench in a public park, not bothering anyone. And then he was shot 14 times in broad daylight by a Milwaukee police officer.

As a mother, I can barely put into words what it was like to go through this experience. I was distraught. I was angry. As I would come to learn, I was not the only one.

Dontre's death might have garnered the most attention, but his killing was only the latest in a series of preventable deaths of young, often African-American, men and women.
