"It humanized her"

From a story in the WSJ:

Yet the incident also provided a rare window into the emotions of Mrs. Clinton, who seldom veers off script and has faced criticism for lacking authenticity. Some voters might sympathize with her for a human reaction to what she saw as an unfair attack, other analysts said.

Democratic political consultant Steve McMahon, who isn’t aligned in the race, said the exchange would only humanize Mrs. Clinton.

“If you believe your opponent is lying about your record consistently and maliciously, this kind of a reaction is perfectly understandable and perfectly natural,” he said.

...with the kind of abuse she takes.

It's why I'm so quiet; I have a terrible temper and I don't want to make myself a target which would cause me to lose that temper.

She's said in the past that it would take too much time away from actually getting things done to bother responding to every false thing said about her, but many people don't bother to look into the attacks, and seem to believe it must be true since she doesn't speak up. It's a very fine line for her to have to walk, I would be much less patient than she is.

and that is seen as cool,

while she is constantly smeared on, condescended to, belittled and hated on!!!

I like that after all this she is basically a happy person but puhleeze!! She deserves respect like everyone else.

And the best thing about her, politically, is once people get to know her, they quickly realize how much they have been misled about who she actually is. She really is a great example of everything a public servant should be.
