US requests extradition of 2 FARC peace negotiators

US requests extradition of 2 FARC peace negotiators

A US court has asked Colombia to extradite two FARC commanders who are currently negotiating the guerrilla organization’s possible disarmament in ongoing peace talks in Cuba, Fench news agency AFP reported Sunday.

According to the news agency, the Colombian Prosecutor General’s Office received the request to extradite rebels Omar Restrepo and Adan Jimenez in November.

The two members of the FARC’s 36th Front, active in the northwestern Antioquia state, are wanted by a Virginia court for drug trafficking.

The Colombian government had revoked the arrest warrants of all members of the FARC’s negotiating team last year as the guerrillas were sending their representatives from Colombia to Cuba.

That may be why our police state agencies want these two (Omar Restrepo and Adan Jimenez) in U.S. custody--to 'bury' them in the U.S. federal prison system, likely--as they've done before--by complete sealing of their case files--to keep them from revealing what they may know about Uribe's "Murder, Inc."/drug trafficking rise to power. I think it was part of "the deal" by which the "white hat CIA"'s candidate, Barack Obama, was permitted to be elected. I think he WAS elected, but--given the 'TRADE SECRET' code condition of our election system--was also permitted to be elected, so long as he agreed to items like this--protecting Bush junta 'made men' all the way to the top. FARC guerrilla leaders could also know something about the dirty dope dealings of our police state agencies.

We have front man Obama saying he approves of the peace talks and the real powers behind the throne trying to blow the peace talks up with extradition requests, possibly merely to cover their asses, or as part of the Bush Sr./Panetta-brokered deal to protect Jr. and hoary pals.

Shameful. George W. Bush wouldn't have done it any sneakier than this.

Looks as if the same people are calling the shots, no matter which party is in control.

Now it occurs to me that maybe all the time any President lives in the White House he and his entire family might be hostages, living in danger of losing their lives if they don't do what this power group demands, after all. Is it too late for a conscientious President to move independently in foreign affairs without sacrificing himself or his family?

This is so right-wing. Definitely not the ticket upon which our President ran for office.
