Peru: President Humala's approval ratings hit low of 25%

According to numbers released by Ipsos Perú, only 25% of Peruvian approve of the president. And 69% indicated on the survey that they actively disapproved of his leadership.

This represents yet another all-time low for the president, who fell two percentage points from his 27% approval rating in November on the same survey. A recent survey by Pulso Peru measured the public’s approval of Humala at 31%.

-------------
The president’s approval ratings have been falling for months, despite registering 65% approval early in his term. The poll also found that the Oscar Lopez Meneses police corruption scandal is one of the reasons that Humala has seen a drop in his numbers, as 74% of respondents believed that Lopez Meneses, a former political operative of Fujimori intelligence head Vladimiro Montesinos, had ties with government figures.

However, President Humala shouldn’t feel too bad about the polling numbers. According to The Economist, no Peruvian president has been able to maintain an approval rating about 50% since 1997.

I don't know about the scandal but seems similar to Garcia's numbers the last president, booming economy with large apparent socioeconomic gains but Peruvians seem to think politicians suck.
