'It is vulture funds that act in bad faith’

The Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich reiterated that Argentina has not defaulted and rejected the possibility of a future default. He stressed that the government honours its commitments in good faith, unlike the so-called vulture funds, whom he accused of going after the resource-rich Vaca Muerta region.

“There cannot be a default when de debtor is paying,” Capitanich stated in his daily press briefing. “Argentina pays, it has not defaulted. There is no possibility of entering default because Argentina pays in good faith. The vulture funds are the ones acting in bad faith by not supporting Argentina’s request (to US Judge Thomas Griesa) for a stay”.

The Kirchnerite official said the holdout hedge fund’s communication strategy reveals an agenda that seeks “the appropriation of the country’s natural ressources as Vaca Muerta”.

Capitanich celebrated the international support Argentina has received in its battle against the vulture funds. “We have received clear and solid support,” he said, “that shows the world’s concern” about the matter.

The vultures should not get one dime, and no one anywhere should give a rat's ass about the decision of a U.S, court in their favor.
