LIMA, April 2 (BERNAMA-NNN-ANDINA) -- Peru's Ministry of Production initiated operations at the new Satellite Tracking System Control Center (Sisesat), from which the fishing activity undertaken by over 1200 national vessels, in addition to foreign ships, will be closely monitored.
"This is another step in the strengthening of control and surveillance of coastal resources at the national level, we are expanding the bandwidth of effective supervision on the open water," the Deputy Minister of Fishing Juan Carlos Requejo pointed out.
He referred to the fact that the Control Center involves not only the implementation of a physical space with the best technology, but also of a new satellite software.
On the subject, he explained that such software will make control procedures much more efficient, safe and simple.
