Salvadoran President in Cuba to Boost Science, Tech Bonds

The Central American leader will visit the world-renowned Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and meet with President Raul Castro.

The president of El Salvador, Salvador Sanchez Ceren, will meet Wednesday with his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro in Havana.

The Central American leader is due to tour the Cuban capital’s world-renowned Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.

Speaking to the press, Sanchez Ceren confirmed that one of the aims of the official visit is to strengthen scientific-technical cooperation with Cuba, which began almost six years ago.
