President Juan Orlando Hernandez claims he did not know where the money was coming from.

Honduras' President Juan Orlando Hernandez admitted Wednesday that he received money originating from corruption, during his presidential campaign in 2013.

Of the campaign funding from companies involved in corruption, Hernandez admitted, “I understand, from what people in the National Party have informed me, I don't know, it might add up to around 3 million lempiras (US$ 147,783).”

He claimed he did not know where the money was coming and that he should not be held accountable. “I have nothing to do with it,” he emphasized.
